JYJ Law- So Glad To Hear About This

Hi Eonnis (Unnies)!

I am not much of a K-pop fan ‘woman.’ I am a, Indie and heavy-metal kind of girl, yes, you read that correctly. But TVXQ was the only kpop group I listened too back in the day and still is one of the only groups that I like.

tumblr_m7999wx8hV1rwz287o1_500Their split was was extremely disappointing and sad because these artist had such great chemistry.  As you may already know, three members, Kim Junsu, Park Yoochun (my favorite!), and Kim Jaejoong,  sued their former agency SM Entertainment back in 2009 and the Korean Fair Trade Commission ruled in favor of the group in 2013. These three artist went on to formed a three-member Korean idol group as JYJ. However, since the split and after the law suit, they were ‘allegedly’ banned from performing as a group and been kept off of Korean music shows for the past six years, and  other events. Now, let’s be honest, this is not ‘allegedly’, this is fact. They were not allowed to perform due to SM’s influences.  But nonetheless, I am happy to hear about this new ‘JYJ bill.’

If you haven’t heard, a Korean assemblywoman affiliated with the New Politics Alliancejyj for Democracy party, proposed a revision to Korean broadcasting laws that will make it difficult for Korean broadcasters to continue unfair practices. The so-called “JYJ bill” will keep Korean television networks from keeping people off air without reasonable cause.

Recently, Member Junsu was the first to perform on Korean television in six years, and fans came out to express support to EBS while expressing anger towards SM Entertainment’s alleged influence over the television industry.

I am so happy for these three! Park Yoochun (my favorite!), and Kim Jaejoong have appear on television in Kdramas such as ‘I miss you,’ ‘Spy,’ “Rooftop Prince,’ and a couple of more. They are all so talented.
